Brotherhood Award

Hola people!

I have been yet again nominated by one of my favourite and loveliest blogger Kri for the “Brotherhood Award”, thank-you so much for all the love and I can’t thank-you enough for the award nomination.

The rules of the award:

1) Thank and link back to the person who nominated you for the award.
2) List the Rules and Display the Brotherhood of the world Award logo to your post and/or blog.
3) Answer the questions set to you and then you may create your set of questions for your nominees.
4) Nominate around ten other bloggers and let them know about the award.

Below is the list of questions asked from the nominations:

1. You are given the responsibility to bring global peace, how will you do that?

Answer: I would probably refuse such a responsibility, realistically the world has people who are shades of ‘grey’, and as long as even one person is working for their own benefit, it will cost something to to another, there will be no peace. At most, I can only promise to do my part.

2. Did blogging improve your life in any way?

Answer: Yes, it did. I got a place to call “home” ❤

3. You can do anything you want for 3 hours, what would you do?

Answer: Nowadays, catch up on sleep (haha!) generally though read and be left alone in silence.

4. Reading or writing, given you’ll be paid for reading?

Answer: Writing and Reading, both I do for the “peace” it brings. Nothing it has, has got to with money. So pay me or not, I will always be doing both, can’t just read because I was being paid and not write.

5. An idea of a perfect life?

Answer: We all know there is nothing as “perfect”, humans are designed that way, in my believe. However, the ideal would be away from the chaos of world, somewhere in nature, mountains perhaps, cold would be nice lol.

6. You can travel back in time, what year you would choose and why?

Answer:  I ain’t turning back 🙂 even if to just view, what’s gone must remain gone. Don’t want to come back to present with more of past attached to my mind.

7. Space, Solitude, Silence. Choose one and why?

Answer: Silence, always. I find peace within the stillness, that’s why.

8. Is there life elsewhere in universe?

Answer: I would like to believe so or I would be truly heart broken.

9. You have to plan a surprise for your best friend, but you are broke. What will you plan?

Answer: I don’t have best friends, I find it too cliche of a label ( a personal opinion) but yes I have a handful of close friends, and being broke is never a problem xD I’ll write them a poem and give them a hug. They know me well enough to know how I don’t believe in grand gestures and big plans 🙂

10. One of your friends, with whom you were not in contact for many years, meets you somewhere and starts cursing you. How will you tackle the situation?

Answer: Smile and walk away xD

My list of questions and nominations are as follows:

1. Do you believe in second chances?
2. Are you satisfied with who you are, today?
3 .Any certain religious philosophy or concept you completely believe in?
4. If given a chance to be any famous literary author from history for one day, who will you choose and why?
5. One thing that annoys you the most about other people?
6. Being “truly yourself”, what does that mean to you?
7. If you could change one thing about the world, what will it be?
8. How do you express sadness?
9. Where would you like to travel, if given a chance to do so?
10. Your favourite time of day/ night, why?

1. Dan
2. Shreya
3. Paul
4. Maryam
5. Ayushi
6. Shubhada
7. Mani
8. Lumen
9. George
10. Prateek

Thank-you once again Kri <3, good luck to all the nominations and as always, there is no compulsion to participate but I’d love to read your answers if you participate.

Questions I was given:

1. How do you deal with a situation where you have nothing to write but want to write?

Answer: Honestly, I have no clue. I have never experienced what we call “Writer’s Block”. Words come easy and the desire to write is always strong, like I say that words are home for me and perhaps I have never encountered such a situation for how you can ever forget your way to your home? 🙂

2. What changes (if any) blogging has brought in you?

Answer: I do think blogging has brought a change in me, for one I have finally realized how important writing was to me, something I was pushed to do by a few close friends (still very few friends are aware of the blog I maintain) who thought I needed this and I had a way with words. Yet, I didn’t believe in my ability to write but my need to vent and let things out and here we are today. I have so many friends across the globe, I have eventually learned to broaden on topics I write and on most days am able to disconnect what I write from how I might actually be feeling. I’m still learning and got a long way to go but yes, diversity is important from where I stand now.

3. What would you like the legacy of your work to be?

Answer: Most of you’re aware that my line of work has nothing to do with writing/literature at all. In-fact, there is nothing in common with what I do in my daily life and there is too big of a disconnect. However, I sincerely hope and pray that some day I will have the opportunity to write professionally and make a difference to some lives. I’m not looking for fame, I’m the sort of person who stays away from any attention but I’d like my words to be heard and maybe they could leave a lasting impression on somebody.

My nominations:

1. Kirsty (I miss you, come back already)
2. Blondeusk
3. Dan
4. Will
5. Annie

Note: Thank-you Kri again, I know I have another post to respond to, bear with me 🙂 I’m grateful for the nomination and for the nominees; good-luck guys, as always feel free to participate or not but I’d love to see your responses.

Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award

sisterhoodoftheworld_zps04ae03d0Hey all!

The awards just never stop or more like the love never just stops pouring in here :), Kirsty has yet again nominated me for another award and this time it’s super special xD why? Because it’s the “Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award” ❤
To be part of a global writing sisterhood community, can’t ask for more than that 🙂 Thank-you so much Kirsty, for all the love and kind words you keep sending my way. You never fail to make me smile 🙂

As always, let’s begin with the rules of the award:

  • Answer the 10 questions given to you.
  • Pass the award on to 7 other bloggers of their choice and let them know that they have been nominated.
  • Include the logo of the award in a post or on your blog

Answering my questions

1. Is there something you have tried, but will never try again?

Honestly, can’t think of anything that was so regretful that I decided to never go near it again 🙂

2. Do you have a quirky habit?

Yes, I like collecting weird masks and gas masks picture, I also have a peculiar interest in surrealism.

3. What is your favourite memory as a child?

I was always a-lot in to sports but as I have grown older, I barely have anytime to do that any more. All the memories involving playing any sort of game from cricket to football to throwball, well all are my favourite 🙂

4.Who is your best friend? NOT lover/partner.

I have a very small social circle, among them a few very close friends but I can’t pick one person and say, “this is it” 🙂 I’m weird like that.

5. What would your dream date be?

That’s probably the most difficult question for me considering I’m a million miles away from romance but well a casual talk about books over coffee/tea, basically allowing me to be truly myself. Yes, I don’t want any flowers or grand gestures lol.

6. What is the worst thing about dating?

Not an expert on this so I’ll broaden the question a little (I apologise), I think the worst thing about any relationships that comes between two people is a set of expectations they build without ever communicating and then things start falling apart.

7, What is one movie that has influenced your life?

None 🙂

8. Would you change anything about yourself?

Yes, I wish I could say ‘No’ to people, that’s one thing I still haven’t learned.

9. Who is your favourite celebrity?

Hugh Laurie

10 .What was your most embarrassing moment?

I can’t quote any specific moment but I’m generally awkward and just embarrassed in social gathering and can’t make proper conversations.

Now my nominations

1. Naima
2. Kri
3. Shambhavi
4. Vishakha (As promised, I hope this helps 🙂 )
5. Geet
6. Mani
7. Blondeusk

And here is the list of my questions for my lovely ladies:

1. On the bad days, how do you cheer yourself up?
2. Which is your favourite food?
3. How do you let go?
4. How much do you value ‘silence’?
5. Will you hurt someone intentionally or lie to make them feel better?
6. Do you have faith in humanity? why or why not?
7. One thing you really wish could come true?
8. If you had to sum up your life in 10 or less words, what would they be?
9. How do you express anger?
10. What is the one thing that will turn you completely off about a person?

Thank-you Kirsty again for this ❤ and for the nominations, I look forward to seeing your answers lovelies, as always there is no compulsion, anybody who is not up for answering, doesn’t have to do so 🙂

Thank-you Dan, for this and all your words 🙂 You already know how much they mean to me. I’m grateful for this award. One of the best things about this award is, it’s simplicity and no requirements. This is just a recognition from one blogger to another, letting them know they are loved 🙂

Thus, I can’t thank Dan enough for this and to pass on the love, here is the list of bloggers that deserve a chance to be read and recognised (In no particular order) :

1. Randstein

Liebster Award

Hola my lovelies!

Here I’m again talking about another award nomination, you people spoil me sulagno13 has nominated me for the Liebster Award, thank-you so much, I’m truly honored for the encouragement and kind words you say for me. All this means a lot to me 🙂

Moving  on to the rules of this award:

  • Once you are nominated, make a post thanking and linking the person who nominated you.
  • Include the Liebster Award sticker in the post too.
  • Nominate 10 other bloggers who you feel are worthy of this award. Let them know they have been nominated by commenting on one of their posts. You can also nominate the person who nominated you.
  • Answer the ten questions asked to you by the person who nominated you, and make ten questions of your own for your nominees.
  • Lastly, COPY these rules in the post.

Answering the questions:

1. Suppose you spent the whole evening and night studying for a paper next day, engrossed. In the morning some an hour before the exam a friend told you,” Stupid. Dude that paper was postponed last evening. Now we have another exam, though easy one.” What would you feel and how will deal with it?

My exam days are long gone 🙂 but if it ever happened to me, I’d probably get one of my stress headaches, sit for the paper, do what I can and walk out handing the paper to the teacher before time, saying I messed up. Yeah, I won’t sit till the time is up and stair at the question paper.

2. If you get the chance, with which celebrity would you like to date with?

I would actually prefer meeting Charles Bukowski ^_^

3. If you were elected the Ruler of the world, Supreme Power, what will do? Which are the things would make you deeply satisfied? And which are the things you would miss and crave for?

Well I’ll never run for the position of Ruler of the world, to be honest I don’t want that responsibility. I don’t want to run the world, ever.

4. What will you say, when you approached your crush after battling your own inner fears, and he/she says, “ hahaha….you are so funny and sweet. By the way you deserve someone better than me. ” ? (I know it, that line, hurts a lot)

I’ll talk to him about why I chose him but at the same time respect the feelings of the other person, and if nothing more, I’d still want him as a friend in my life 🙂

5. What will you do if you encounter a ghost face to face by coincidence?

Seriously? I’d like to make a conversation with him. I’m not even kidding, I want to know their world.

6. If you caught a kid (in close relations, maybe your kid or future kid, and age below 14) watching porn or nude pictures, what will you say to him or her? (Sorry if anyone felt embarrassed)

If it’s someone that young and they are watching porn, I’d like to sit down with them and ask how did they even get there? Have a conversation and well to be honest, I would tell them that they were too young for this but provided that they already know, it’s okay for them to watch it. Why? Because, I’m quite sure, my saying ‘No’ will not stop them 🙂 better you know what kids do then not.

7. Suppose you have a crush on your best friend and he or she keeps on asking whom do you like. Its obvious that person will be in a surprise and taken aback if you directly say” I love you or that person is you. ” It can be positive or negative because when they say they don’t mean for themselves. So how will you approach to your crush who asks who is your crush?

I don’t think I’m the sort of person who will talk about crushes/love/ relationships with anybody unless I know the relationship is getting anywhere, I’ll play it cool and carry on saying, there isn’t anyone 🙂

8. How will you react if a call came from an unknown number at 2 am local time telling that you have been nominated for the Nobel Prize and among the top 20 nominees?

Laugh and go back to sleep 😛

9. What is your opinion on Love at First Sight? Does it exist or not?

Honestly, for me, it doesn’t. It takes a whole lot for me to trust people, let them in and love them. My basic for any relationship is based on trust, honesty and respect. Love isn’t even an essential, it’s needed, yes but  I don’t need “love” to live through life and thus for me it doesn’t exists 🙂

10 . Suppose you were born in those days of colonial rule. What will you do as a person in order to inspire people putting an end to the period ruled as slaves and fight back their total freedom?

Find like minded people, encourage others to read and explore. Knowledge is freedom, if you don’t know what you should ask for, how will you get started.  Share inspirational stories of courage and sacrifice with others, let people know what they are missing on so they can fight for their rights.

Thank-you once again for the nomination and apologies for such boring answers 🙂  I’m skipping nominations and further questions for now, as I have already done that earlier.

Since I have already mentioned the award on my blog and also put forward my nominations, here is the last thing I need to do, my purpose for blogging:

When I look back I realize my purpose has changed, I had initially joined for I needed a venting space and a blog at that time seemed like a perfect idea. Hiding behind words and speaking my mind, since socially I’m just awkward and say very little. However, with time, I have made friends here, people I love talking to and interacting with, the wordpress family (if I may use the word) and I have realized that words are home. Perfectly home to me, so no matter how my day goes, I come back here each day to share a piece of my thought process and to hear and feel what others have to say.

I don’t want to drag this too much and bore you guys to sleep 🙂 thank-you everyone for the encouragement and love and thanks once again, Val. This truly means a lot.

Blessings to you all ❤
