Movie recommendation can be quite a long list, here are few of my favourite Schindler’s list, The shawshank redemption, Forest Gump, A clockwork Orange and Casablanca.

I can go on for quite sometime with the list but recommending one is too difficult 🙂

Thank-you once again Esra! Really, all these awards mean a lot and encourage me to keep on writing every day ❤
As always, the nomination ground is open for whoever wants to participate and feel free to share any 7 facts you may wish for the blogger community to know about you 🙂

Much Love & Blessings to you all,

Road to Recovery

The road to recovery is long
Still somewhere in between
Trying to make sense of life
The past still lingers around
A shadow of doubt settles in
Your eyes wanting answers
Wishing to move on freely
Put one step forward at a time
These lingering thoughts will
Fade slowly like background
Noise that you will learn to
Accept as you move towards
The future with doubtful hope
Listen to that calling and learn
To believe in it no matter how
Difficult it may seem as the
Road was never meant to be
Easy so be brave knowing
The demon calls you back in
The dark place and you may
Stumble and fall but as long
As you don’t turn back and let
Go of hope, peace will find you
Hold on to that glimmer you saw
In yourself for it holds answers
You search for in the darkness

The free writing challenge – II

The honor of writing few words again was bestowed upon me by none other than Prateek (He is among my rare favourites here xD). Please refer to my previous post for the rules.

My word this time: Ink

Her hands trembled but didn’t stop, the ink filled pages after pages. She wrote like her life depended on it, a sob escaped her lips but she quickly wiped her tears and shook her head to concentrate on the task before her. She had to put out her thoughts, the words that echoed in her head like a storm, mocking her.

Her finger were stained in ink, the pages wet with her tears and the words on them messed up like some design which made no sense, a hysterical laugh and she winched ‘just like my life’ was the thought that went through her head. She wanted answers, she wanted them now. Who was that woman who insisted she was her real mom and the one who she lived with? Who was she?  She had spent her entire life wishing to die, for she couldn’t be ever good enough for her mother, no matter what she did and all she desired was her approval that never happened, not even the slightest pat on the back.

…and today? The woman who showed up on the door, how could she claim to be her real mother and not the one who she lived with.  Why did she leave her ? Did she also despise her? Was it because she was  disabled, she winced as the voices of school children making fun of her, came back to her. ‘Maybe, I embarrassed my mom too, so she left me with someone else.’

Her hands didn’t stop, they kept shaking but the voices were so loud in her head that she had to pour them out until she ran out of ink, just like she was running out of life with every passing moment, she could feel her soul fading and nobody seemed to care, not like anybody ever noticed her.

Shaking her head once more ‘I must complete my story’, with a new resolve she gripped the pen hard and concentrated on making sure the ink left permanent marks.

My word: Reflection

He let out of a sigh as his mind wandered off in that one direction he always wished it wouldn’t. The thoughts of her, always painful yet the most difficult to let go. He knew what he done was wrong, that he had been a coward but he couldn’t bring himself to face her. He remembered how her eyes had brimmed with tears and she had looked confused and lost as he had viciously lashed out at her, blaming her for his failures in life.

“Distraction”, that’s what he had called her, pointing out how her being part of his life kept him from his goals and how he wished she would disappear. As he reflected upon his behavior, he felt more and more weighed down under her pained expression etched across his mind like a vivid memory refusing to go away.

She had quietly walked away, without say a word to him, just wishing him the best of luck with his life and that all she wanted was his happiness and if her being around was being an obstacle to him in anyway, she promised to disappear forever.

It had been a month and he hadn’t heard from her a word from her but in this time he had realized one thing, her importance to him. He kept thinking about her, her laughter and how she was the support system for him in every possible way, when everyone gave up; she stood by him and cheered.

He signed deeply and regretfully, knowing he needed her more than he ever knew and after a little more reflection on his actions, he made up his mind to leave no stone un-turned in finding her.

Time: 9 minutes, 40 Seconds
Word: 288

Now for the nominations:

1. William Leone
2. Izza Ifzal
3. Naima
4. Randstein
5. Arwen

And the word for you guys is, “insane”. Anybody else who is up for the challenge, please feel free to join in 🙂

Woman you can’t love

I’m the woman you can’t control
The one who challenges you
Shake you up when you’re down
The one who looks you in the eye
Questions you when you lose way
And the one you come to hate as
I won’t let you settle unless I know
You have given your very best to it
And so I will make a man out of the
Boy you are today pushing you to
Ensure you get best of the world
While you find it difficult to keep up
With me since I disturb the very
Core you have built for yourself but
You will learn to take responsibility
I’m the woman you learn to respect
Not the one you buy flowers for or
The one you have to look out for
Someone you will blindly rely on
But I’m the woman you can’t love

Leibster Award

Hola again!

This is my third nomination in the same month, can’t say I don’t enjoy all the love ^_^ this time the nomination came the sweetest and wise Kritika. Thank-you so much, I’m honestly moved and still getting over the shock of the nomination. Thank-you once again :), everyone reading this please pay a visit to her blog: you will not be disappointed, in fact you will feel your emotions struck by how she uses the words.

So now starting off with answering the questions:

1. Why are you here on WordPress?

I’m a very reserved person and someone who thinks too much, I would generally rant to my friends over chats and messaging about my issues with people and the world in general and randomly by a few friends I was told to start writing. While the idea at that time seemed impossible because I couldn’t believe I could write and that my friends were crazy to think I could, I was going through a phase where it became necessary to have an outlet to speak out and thus long story short I landed here.

2. Who is your favorite author/poet and why.

Sylvia Plath *hands down*, the woman is magic with words. Hell at most days I believe we should have an emotion called Sylvia Plath so when someone asks you, how are you feeling today? I can say like Sylvia Plath.

3. What will you do if you wake up one day and find yourself in an unknown city?

Initially I’ll be worried about how things changed over night but once it sinks in, I’ll move around to explore the newer life lol.

4. Your thoughts on love.

Over rated.

5. Your favorite book and one book you would recommend to me.

I can’t name one favourite book, for a book worm like me, books are the ultimate home ❤ but yes I’d recommend any of Haruki Murakami, Charles Bukowski and Vladimir Nabokov’s work. However, there are many more I love to read, this alone can be a huge topic to discuss between us 🙂

6. One sober thing you did and one crazy thing you did.

I’ll be a disappointment for you with regards to this question, I’m pretty boring and simple ALL the time 🙂

7. What is on your mind right now?

“So tired of people” exact words lol.

8. What is that one thing that keeps you going?

Mama, she is my super hero.

9. Describe the version of you which you love the most.

The one that refuses to give up even when life keeps making it fall flat on its face, this version of me refuses to give up.

10. How many mosquitoes you have killed? Just kidding.
When you look at your reflection in the mirror, what is the first question you ask to yourself?

None, mosquitoes don’t bother me so I don’t bother them, it’s an unsaid agreement ^_^
To answer the serious question, every time I see my reflection I wonder how I managed to make it so far.

Phew, finally managed to put across the answers 🙂 and I apologize if anyone fell asleep somewhere between the post xD

Versatile Blogger Award – Again!

Being lost

Walking an infinite road
With no end in near sight
Losing hope by the day
Road full of bumps and falls
So long now without a break
Wondering if there will ever
Be any relief from this battle
Against time I float like a
Nobody who has no idea how
To fix things gone so wrong
The darkness surrounds telling
Stories of horror and despair
Created by faults in this life
Choices that are nightmares
And people who are strangers
Being someone not understood
Who has tried and failed in her
Eyes that hold stories untold
And heart that desires escape
From the prison of life showing
That nothing seems to go right
In the ocean of blue misfortunes
Being Lost and sinking down
As a dead weight with no way out

There is strength in waking up
Each morning giving it a chance
Not when you choose to hate the
World for tearing you apart endlessly

There is strength in loving after
Having your hear broken to pieces
Not when you close your heart to
The loved ones for mistakes of a few

There is strength in accepting your
Mistakes that might hurt others
Not when you deny turning away
Refusing to take responsibility

There is strength in going on when
You lower your child in the coffin
Not when you drift away with her
Forgetting many who need you

There is strength in living this life
Even when all purpose seems lost
Not when you stop trying to reason
Turning your life into passing days
