Spread Happiness

A little smile on your face
Can make someone’s day
So cheer up for life is full
Of bumps and turns along
The twisted road you walk

Your words of hope are like
Rain on a barren land so
Write for they create happy
Rainbows in hearts of those
who hold you dear in life

Your twinkling eyes as a
Child does a magic trick
On the road corner turn
His bleak day a little brighter
So slow down it’s worth it

Your surprise gift to your
Mother on a random day
Made her smile through
Her pain as she lay in bed
So sit and share stories

Your invitation to a friend
Over a cup of tea after
Months saved your childhood
Friendship that was slipping
So laugh honestly and freely

Your world seems lighter
As you try to reach out
Realizing you had pulled
Away and they were waiting
For their happiness is you

Enigma

The air seems to be telling
Tales carried from across
Worlds filled with questions
The clouds travel with secrets
You try to decipher in their
Shapes and sizes looking for
Answers you can’t find in life
The smoke rising afar drifting
Scattering into nothingness as
If it never existed reminding me
Of fragility of human life itself
How people disappear into voids
Like we had imagined them into
Existence just to dispel our misery
And how the homes we hold so
Close collapse under pressure as
If the safest place was never more
Than an illusion for peace and love
Our lives are an infinite stream of
Enigmas we all try to figure with
Hope that it will help us give some
Meaning to this puzzle of ‘life’

Sunrise

The sun rises everyday
Despite how the day ends
It rises above everything
Never giving up even if
It knows how its day will
End but that never stops
It from shinning the next
Day for it doesn’t focuses
On giving up rather a new
Chance each day to shine
And makes lives of many
Warm with love and care
As I watch the sun’s cycle
I can see the resilience
With which it never lets
Anything come in its way
Giving me the patience
To not let the day’s worries
Stop me from trying the
Next day and again till
I achieve what I have to
For it will take time and
Restraint to not break
Under consistent pressure
But those who learn to live
Through troubles smiling
Eventually make their mark
