Questions I was given:

1. How do you deal with a situation where you have nothing to write but want to write?

Answer: Honestly, I have no clue. I have never experienced what we call “Writer’s Block”. Words come easy and the desire to write is always strong, like I say that words are home for me and perhaps I have never encountered such a situation for how you can ever forget your way to your home? 🙂

2. What changes (if any) blogging has brought in you?

Answer: I do think blogging has brought a change in me, for one I have finally realized how important writing was to me, something I was pushed to do by a few close friends (still very few friends are aware of the blog I maintain) who thought I needed this and I had a way with words. Yet, I didn’t believe in my ability to write but my need to vent and let things out and here we are today. I have so many friends across the globe, I have eventually learned to broaden on topics I write and on most days am able to disconnect what I write from how I might actually be feeling. I’m still learning and got a long way to go but yes, diversity is important from where I stand now.

3. What would you like the legacy of your work to be?

Answer: Most of you’re aware that my line of work has nothing to do with writing/literature at all. In-fact, there is nothing in common with what I do in my daily life and there is too big of a disconnect. However, I sincerely hope and pray that some day I will have the opportunity to write professionally and make a difference to some lives. I’m not looking for fame, I’m the sort of person who stays away from any attention but I’d like my words to be heard and maybe they could leave a lasting impression on somebody.

My nominations:

1. Kirsty (I miss you, come back already)
2. Blondeusk
3. Dan
4. Will
5. Annie
6. Paul

My questions for you guys

1. If you could turn back time, would you? why/why not.
2. Will you kill someone to save a loved one? (given you had no other options)
3. One of your deepest fears is?

Note: Thank-you Kri again, I know I have another post to respond to, bear with me 🙂 I’m grateful for the nomination and for the nominees; good-luck guys, as always feel free to participate or not but I’d love to see your responses.

Blessings to all.<3

3rd day – 3rd quote

“I feel unspeakably lonely. And I feel – drained. It is a blank state of mind and soul I cannot describe to you as I think it would not make any difference. Also it is a very private feeling I have – that of melting into a perpetual nervous breakdown. I am often questioning myself what I further want to do, who I further wish to be; which parts of me, exactly, are still functioning properly. No answers, darling. At all.”
Anne Sexton, Anne Sexton: A Self-Portrait in Letters

In continuation of the “3 day quotes challenge” (please refer to the link for yesterday’s post), today I have shared a quote by another literary gem, a person favourite yet again; Anne Sexton. Her works speaks for itself, I need not to say anything about the above quoted words or the lady.

Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award

sisterhoodoftheworld_zps04ae03d0Hey all!

The awards just never stop or more like the love never just stops pouring in here :), Kirsty has yet again nominated me for another award and this time it’s super special xD why? Because it’s the “Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award” ❤
To be part of a global writing sisterhood community, can’t ask for more than that 🙂 Thank-you so much Kirsty, for all the love and kind words you keep sending my way. You never fail to make me smile 🙂

As always, let’s begin with the rules of the award:

  • Answer the 10 questions given to you.
  • Pass the award on to 7 other bloggers of their choice and let them know that they have been nominated.
  • Include the logo of the award in a post or on your blog

Answering my questions

1. Is there something you have tried, but will never try again?

Honestly, can’t think of anything that was so regretful that I decided to never go near it again 🙂

2. Do you have a quirky habit?

Yes, I like collecting weird masks and gas masks picture, I also have a peculiar interest in surrealism.

3. What is your favourite memory as a child?

I was always a-lot in to sports but as I have grown older, I barely have anytime to do that any more. All the memories involving playing any sort of game from cricket to football to throwball, well all are my favourite 🙂

4.Who is your best friend? NOT lover/partner.

I have a very small social circle, among them a few very close friends but I can’t pick one person and say, “this is it” 🙂 I’m weird like that.

5. What would your dream date be?

That’s probably the most difficult question for me considering I’m a million miles away from romance but well a casual talk about books over coffee/tea, basically allowing me to be truly myself. Yes, I don’t want any flowers or grand gestures lol.

6. What is the worst thing about dating?

Not an expert on this so I’ll broaden the question a little (I apologise), I think the worst thing about any relationships that comes between two people is a set of expectations they build without ever communicating and then things start falling apart.

7, What is one movie that has influenced your life?

None 🙂

8. Would you change anything about yourself?

Yes, I wish I could say ‘No’ to people, that’s one thing I still haven’t learned.

9. Who is your favourite celebrity?

Hugh Laurie

10 .What was your most embarrassing moment?

I can’t quote any specific moment but I’m generally awkward and just embarrassed in social gathering and can’t make proper conversations.

Now my nominations

1. Naima
2. Kri
3. Shambhavi
4. Vishakha (As promised, I hope this helps 🙂 )
5. Geet
6. Mani
7. Blondeusk

And here is the list of my questions for my lovely ladies:

1. On the bad days, how do you cheer yourself up?
2. Which is your favourite food?
3. How do you let go?
4. How much do you value ‘silence’?
5. Will you hurt someone intentionally or lie to make them feel better?
6. Do you have faith in humanity? why or why not?
7. One thing you really wish could come true?
8. If you had to sum up your life in 10 or less words, what would they be?
9. How do you express anger?
10. What is the one thing that will turn you completely off about a person?

Thank-you Kirsty again for this ❤ and for the nominations, I look forward to seeing your answers lovelies, as always there is no compulsion, anybody who is not up for answering, doesn’t have to do so 🙂

My word: Reflection

He let out of a sigh as his mind wandered off in that one direction he always wished it wouldn’t. The thoughts of her, always painful yet the most difficult to let go. He knew what he done was wrong, that he had been a coward but he couldn’t bring himself to face her. He remembered how her eyes had brimmed with tears and she had looked confused and lost as he had viciously lashed out at her, blaming her for his failures in life.

“Distraction”, that’s what he had called her, pointing out how her being part of his life kept him from his goals and how he wished she would disappear. As he reflected upon his behavior, he felt more and more weighed down under her pained expression etched across his mind like a vivid memory refusing to go away.

She had quietly walked away, without say a word to him, just wishing him the best of luck with his life and that all she wanted was his happiness and if her being around was being an obstacle to him in anyway, she promised to disappear forever.

It had been a month and he hadn’t heard from her a word from her but in this time he had realized one thing, her importance to him. He kept thinking about her, her laughter and how she was the support system for him in every possible way, when everyone gave up; she stood by him and cheered.

He signed deeply and regretfully, knowing he needed her more than he ever knew and after a little more reflection on his actions, he made up his mind to leave no stone un-turned in finding her.

Time: 9 minutes, 40 Seconds
Word: 288

Now for the nominations:

1. William Leone
2. Izza Ifzal
3. Naima
4. Randstein
5. Arwen

And the word for you guys is, “insane”. Anybody else who is up for the challenge, please feel free to join in 🙂

So this award has two lists of nominations;

The first is for bloggers who have spent their time to be very active on my blogs, reblogging my posts, leaving lots of comments and likes to my posts. They are the foundation who have supported my blog up until this far. What you should do after receiving Encouraging Thunder award:

  • At least gives thanks via comments and likes and or mentioning the blog who give the award.
  • Mention your purpose in blogging

Since I have already mentioned the award on my blog and also put forward my nominations, here is the last thing I need to do, my purpose for blogging:

When I look back I realize my purpose has changed, I had initially joined for I needed a venting space and a blog at that time seemed like a perfect idea. Hiding behind words and speaking my mind, since socially I’m just awkward and say very little. However, with time, I have made friends here, people I love talking to and interacting with, the wordpress family (if I may use the word) and I have realized that words are home. Perfectly home to me, so no matter how my day goes, I come back here each day to share a piece of my thought process and to hear and feel what others have to say.

I don’t want to drag this too much and bore you guys to sleep 🙂 thank-you everyone for the encouragement and love and thanks once again, Val. This truly means a lot.

Blessings to you all ❤

Leibster Award

Hola again!

This is my third nomination in the same month, can’t say I don’t enjoy all the love ^_^ this time the nomination came the sweetest and wise Kritika. Thank-you so much, I’m honestly moved and still getting over the shock of the nomination. Thank-you once again :), everyone reading this please pay a visit to her blog: you will not be disappointed, in fact you will feel your emotions struck by how she uses the words.

So now starting off with answering the questions:

1. Why are you here on WordPress?

I’m a very reserved person and someone who thinks too much, I would generally rant to my friends over chats and messaging about my issues with people and the world in general and randomly by a few friends I was told to start writing. While the idea at that time seemed impossible because I couldn’t believe I could write and that my friends were crazy to think I could, I was going through a phase where it became necessary to have an outlet to speak out and thus long story short I landed here.

2. Who is your favorite author/poet and why.

Sylvia Plath *hands down*, the woman is magic with words. Hell at most days I believe we should have an emotion called Sylvia Plath so when someone asks you, how are you feeling today? I can say like Sylvia Plath.

3. What will you do if you wake up one day and find yourself in an unknown city?

Initially I’ll be worried about how things changed over night but once it sinks in, I’ll move around to explore the newer life lol.

4. Your thoughts on love.

Over rated.

5. Your favorite book and one book you would recommend to me.

I can’t name one favourite book, for a book worm like me, books are the ultimate home ❤ but yes I’d recommend any of Haruki Murakami, Charles Bukowski and Vladimir Nabokov’s work. However, there are many more I love to read, this alone can be a huge topic to discuss between us 🙂

6. One sober thing you did and one crazy thing you did.

I’ll be a disappointment for you with regards to this question, I’m pretty boring and simple ALL the time 🙂

7. What is on your mind right now?

“So tired of people” exact words lol.

8. What is that one thing that keeps you going?

Mama, she is my super hero.

9. Describe the version of you which you love the most.

The one that refuses to give up even when life keeps making it fall flat on its face, this version of me refuses to give up.

10. How many mosquitoes you have killed? Just kidding.
When you look at your reflection in the mirror, what is the first question you ask to yourself?

None, mosquitoes don’t bother me so I don’t bother them, it’s an unsaid agreement ^_^
To answer the serious question, every time I see my reflection I wonder how I managed to make it so far.

Phew, finally managed to put across the answers 🙂 and I apologize if anyone fell asleep somewhere between the post xD

Moving on next, here are the rules of the Award:

– Once you are nominated, make a post thanking and linking the person who nominated you.
– Include the Liebster Award sticker in the post too.

– Ensure all of these bloggers have less than 200 followers.
– Answer the ten questions asked to you by the person who nominated you, and make ten questions of your own for your nominees.
– Lastly, COPY these rules in the post.

1. Michelle :
2. Naima:
3. Izza:
4. Will:
5. Arwen:
6. Ayushi:
7. Blondeusk:
8. Chris:
9. Randstein:
10. Kirsty:

Here is my set of 10 questions for you all 🙂

1. If you had to describe yourself in one word, what will it be?
2. If you could change one thing about yourself, what will you change?
3. How important is ‘encouragement from others’ for you?
4. What inspires you?
5. Your favourite quote?
6. Brutally honest or beautifully fake? And Why?
7. How important is writing to you?
8. A piece of advise for all those reading this.
9. Tell one thing to your past-self.
10. How do you express anger?

Best of luck with answering the questions and as said above, all of you have the freedom to answer or not answer these questions. However, if you do, I will love to read and know you all a little bit more 🙂 oh and once again, thank-you Kritika ❤
