Saving the World

You don’t need superpowers
To save the world from dying
All you need is a pure heart
That wishes to see others smile
Show compassion towards
Strangers in need of help and
Homeless who need food to
Survive through the cold night
A scared child who wants some
Clothes to protect himself from
Thunder and storm roaring in sky
Or Elderly who needs help to cross
The road for they can’t see like you
So look around and lend a hand
It will hardly take your time and
Ease others lives with heartfelt
Prayers your way cause you’d be
Their hero who saved their day

Rainbows and Butterflies

If life was like rainbows and butterflies
There would be happiness all around
And honest smiles on all the faces
While they carried on with their lives
The sky would twinkle with shimmer
And grounds would vibrate with dances
World would sway in harmony and peace
But little by little the chips will fall off
We will become less thankful and more
Bored of a simple life with no crossed
Roads to jump through and no decision
To trample upon others to boast victory
And so wanting more from less will
Take over and our hunger to be the first
Will lead us to choosing paths of wrongs
Destroying and creating ripples of war
We each become enemy in other’s eyes
And soon the world goes back to how
It was before; bruised and hurt by us
We secretly leech on this life while we
Lie about wanting perfection knowing
That we won’t last in an ideal world
For our hearts are too tainted for light

Charles said it!

1st Day – 1st Quote

The problem was you had to keep choosing between one evil or another, and no matter what you chose, they sliced a little bit more off you, until there was nothing left. At the age of 25 most people were finished. A whole god-damned nation of assholes driving automobiles, eating, having babies, doing everything in the worst way possible, like voting for the presidential candidates who reminded them most of themselves. I had no interests. I had no interest in anything. I had no idea how I was going to escape. At least the others had some taste for life. They seemed to understand something that I didn’t understand. Maybe I was lacking. It was possible. I often felt inferior. I just wanted to get away from them. But there was no place to go.
― Charles Bukowski

The above quote is in response to the “3 day quotes challenge” for which I was nominated by two absolutely lovely people; Kri and Steph, thank-you guys, I’m honored and humbled by the challenge, especially since reading and quotes collection is among my personal favourite things to do.

I won’t explain as to why I chose this quote but let’s just say, the quote comes very close to the most closed spaces we all hide within us.

Rules for the challenge:

1. Post 3 of your favourite quotes each per day for 3 recurrent days. The quotes can be of any other people or it may come straight from your own heart.
2. Nominate 3 or more bloggers with each post to challenge them.
3. Don’t forget to utter a thankful word to the person who nominated you.

Today’s nominations for the 3 day quote challenge are:

1. Will
2. Naima
3. Darshith

Again a huge THANK-YOU both of you for sharing this challenge with me and good-luck to all the nominations. I look forward to seeing your posts ❤

Growing up

I was a hopeful child
Until the world took
Away my innocence by
Stabbing me in my back
Teaching me a lesson

I searched for happiness
Till I realized that it was
An ongoing battle of life
Some days you won
And others you didn’t

I voiced my concerns
And was told to stop
Questioning things and
To be blind to wrong
Quietly fading away

I was naive and eager
But had it thrown in
My face as an insult to
See world as an oyster
For it was a jungle

I looked for answers in
Effort to make sense of
So called humanity but
Learned there was none
My quest was a mistake

The World Speaks

I see you walking over me
Like you brought me into
Existence, blinded by ego
Every step that you take
Is loaded with mistakes
One after another, your
Blindness doesn’t lets you
See the destruction you
Have done to my soul
Destroying my beauties
To satisfy your hunger for
Money and power that
Perpetually goes on till
Your last breath of this life
So much of hatred burns
This world and it bleeds
Dying a little every day
But you see none of this
My breaths are shallow
And my strength is gone
My nature is going haywire
I try to maintain my strength
But your vicious human race
Will not stop till it has pulled
My plug once and for all
Forgetting that without me
You cannot last long here

The reason

When life throws you off balance
Remember, you are brave enough
To deal with the horror coming
Your way, just know that giving up
Is not an option for you were made
To do something bigger in this  life
To accept defeat is the easiest path
To stand up and look the world in
The eyes again takes real strength
And you were always a warrior, love
And people like you fight till the last
Drop of blood in them is left and
Never give up, for without you the
world will a few shades darker with
The grays winning over the white
Smiles replaced by heavy hearts so
You must fight as people have faith
In your abilities and strength to win
Against all odds, you were always
The reason the world meant more

Together

Invincible you thought seeing them
Together they stayed like two forces
Gravitating towards each other as if
Tied together by an invisible spell
Movements synced with each other
Perfection you envied to have as theirs
Absolutely aware of the presence of
One and another they connect even
In the biggest of the crowds around
His eyes would always find her
She would always calm his heart
They were light in pitch darkness
Never giving up on another one
You could only wish to have this love
Surreal like the air carrying secrets
And orange sun-rays before dawn
Untouchable by the tainted humans
It’s them versus the world in a battle
They win with such ease that you
Wince in envy and awe but they are
Unaffected moving on victoriously
Living their lives as you watch with
Wishful heart and pained soul

Listen – I

Part I of II

Did you listen to that?
Nature is speaking to
Us in numerous ways
The air teases us with
Secrets its carrying in
The invisible layers
That are all around us
The trees and flowers
Hum songs of delight
As the sun wraps them
With love so they bloom
The seas carry with them
Laughter of children and
Stories of love they bring
To us with each crashing
Wave that touches us
And the chirping of birds
As they fly over the sky
Effortlessly their wings
Move through the air
Creating songs of hope
The colours all around
Giving life to everything
Did you listen to that?
Heart beat.. nature is alive

Readin a book

The pleasure of reading a book
After a long exhaustive day
Leaves an impact of calmness
As being in the arms of a lover
The desire to lose myself in it
As I gently touch the corner of
the pages holding stories of
Worlds beyond I can ever imagine
A playful shine rests in my eyes
As I step in to the world of words
And let the sensation of sentences
Carved with commas and full stops
Excite the inner child within me
Reminding me that life’s miracles
Exist at all places if only we’d see
With open minds and beating hearts
All wonders live within these pages
Making me feel like I found home
And my favourite characters become
A part of my life delicately connected
To me as I laugh and cry with them
In moments we breathe together on
The pages decorated beautifully with
Words taking my breathe away slowly
And I fall in love gladly over and over
Holding my world close to myself

Wonders

This world keeps secrets
In every nook and corner
Only if we’d make time
From our busy routines
To listen to its whispers

This world holds together
Echoes of majestic mountains
And vast layers of seas
Roaring across the world
Stop and listen to them

The world glows with colors
Of endless trees and flowers
Shades of sky as a duvet
Telling infinite tales of love
Pay attention to designs

The world teaches lessons
Of never giving up in form
Of humans all around us
Each different from another
If we only had time to learn

The world speaks to us in
Rainbows and rains with
Music in the background
But we are too busy trying
To live the plastic lives
