A little more you

There is a world you hide
Beneath that skin of yours
A world that nobody notices
Where the words are lighter
And heart beat is calmer
A world which is an abstract
Mix of sorrows and joys
All woven together perfectly
Making it more real than you
The face for the appearance
The smile for the audience
The words perfectly timed
An actor’s perfected act
You perform stunningly on
Stage for the world to watch
But it’s when you are alone
In voids and spaces of time
The unsure you visibly comes
Out when nobody watches
That part of you lurking in
Shadows for you to relax
A little more you, real you
Making you more human

Lies and Smiles

So we meet again today
Smiling and greeting at
Each other as every day
Hidden behind this mask
We wear like a veil of sins
You lie through your teeth
And I smile through your
Every word that you say
Wrapped up in fake love
I look at you the same way
Repeating this act of care
That we have weaved so
Viciously with no way out
Reducing sincerity to only
A word game between
Humans who seem lost
In their own lives as if
Perfection was suppose
To be our final destination
So alone at mid-nights
Working out how we will
Smile again the next day
Burying our hearts away
To be never found again

Picture Perfect

She makes you wish
You could have her life
That sharp pitch laughter
The glittering eyes that
Hold the world like it’s
The key to wonders you
Could only wish to touch
Her smile lights up the
Surrounding like hope in
The darkest alleys of life
But sometimes when you
Sit down with her and look
Into her eyes they remind
You of a history lesson
That felt unreal enough to
Make you uneasy and you
Want to dig deeper to find
Out the real story that hides
In those eyes but she looks
Away too quickly each time
Shutting you out to a place
From where her life looks as
If its a master piece of an
Artist’s life time of work
An enigma you try to know
Picture perfect‘ is all that
Comes to mind watching her
While desperately wanting
To tear off the layers in her
Smile to know the real her

Not Ordinary

You think you know her enough
To see through her countless masks
Which she wears unless she is alone
But you’re just like everybody else
Who have told her the same words
Hollow and meaningless to her now
And you’re just another number she
Will add to her list of people who
Failed to see her as a who she was
Confined by your shackled imagination
Of normalcy as defined by the world
You simply make her up in the head
As what you would like her to be
Understanding her means letting go
Of certainty and dancing with demons
She pushes you, makes you question
Changing your perspective to things
Why make so much of an effort for
One person so you will form a bubble
She smiles ruefully knowing it’s a
Matter of time; sooner than later this
Facade of goodness you carry around
Her will start to show the cracks of lies
You have built but she lets you play
Letting you assume you know her like
All who came before you and watches
Time ticking away slowly counting days
Till you realize you aren’t strong enough
Quietly she will let you go with a smile
Leaving behind traces of herself that
Will Sink into your skin to your bones
Unsettling you and all you thought that
You desperately needed to believe in
A blanket of regret will envelope you
Wishing you could turn back time
